DESCRIPTION For CX-70 PHEV (SC) models, the SC specification includes ECU modifications to extend electric driving range. The BECM (Battery Energy Control Module) inside the high-voltage battery pack must be maintained at C-level or later. REPAIR PROCEDURE When replacing the high-voltage (HV) battery pack, verify the BECM software level. If the level is earlier than C-level, update it to C-level or later and execute configuration after completing the update. 1. Reprogram the BECM with the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS), using Mazda Diagnostic And Repair Software (MDARS). Refer to MDARS ECU Reprogramming Procedure.
