This Warranty Field Campaign describes the recalibration steps for the engine control module calibration of certain B6.7 and L9 engines which may not be tuned to accept an External Acceleration Request (XAR) from DTNA’s Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) System, resulting in behavior from the cruise control system whereby the vehicle slows down once the gap to the leading vehicle is is too small but then speeds back up to cruise speed once the gap is sufficient. This process repeats until cruise is canceled or the vehicle maintains sufficient distance.
